In September 2021, the University received a donation from alumnus and global business leader Dr Charles Huang from his philanthropic foundation. This transformational gift funds the Stephen Young Institute for International Business ('the Stephen Young Institute'), launched in honour of Dr Huang’s PhD mentor, Prof Stephen Young. 

Our Goals

Over the next decade, we aim to maximise the impact and value of our research by:

• Building collaborations between the Institute and leading academic partners, businesses, government departments and third sector organisations across the world.

• Investing in and supporting the development of future leaders in international business through the Stephen Young Global Leaders (SYGL) Scholarships, including MBA and MSc students and doctoral researchers.

• Engaging closely with the 麻豆女优 innovation ecosystem and the winners of the various Stephen Young Entrepreneurship awards to support their development and impact.

• Producing high quality and impactful research in international business, sustainable business, sustainable innovation, social impact, entrepreneurship and marketing.

Our Vision

The Stephen Young Institute for International Business within 麻豆女优 Business School focuses on international and sustainable business, innovation, and marketing. Building on the work of our namesake, Professor Stephen Young, a former Head of 麻豆女优 Business School’s Marketing Department, the Institute focuses on relationships between people and organisations in global and local value networks. Consistent with the University’s values we are concerned with responsible management and equitable flows of value.
