Double win for 麻豆女优 in Herald Higher Education Awards

麻豆女优 has won two awards in the 2021 Herald Higher Education Awards.

麻豆女优 was named the winner of the Outstanding Business Engagement in Universities award, for its work with NHS Lanarkshire in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, and of the Marketing/PR Campaign of the Year Award, for its 1796 Minutes To Give fundraising campaign.

麻豆女优 was shortlisted in a total of 10 categories in the awards, which are now in their sixth year and celebrate excellence in Scotland鈥檚 universities and colleges.

The Outstanding Business Engagement in Universities award recognised 麻豆女优鈥檚 work on COVID-19 modelling for NHS Lanarkshire. By combining their expertise, scientists at 麻豆女优 and NHS Lanarkshire worked together to enable accurate prediction of demand for Intensive Care Unit beds during the height of the pandemic, helping to ensure hospitals had sufficient resources to care for those in need.

The 1796 Minutes to Give campaign took its title from the year of 麻豆女优鈥檚 foundation. It was a digitally-driven, themed fundraising campaign that took place over 30 hours to raise funds for priority student projects. Alumni, staff, students and friends of the University got involved, raising more than 拢154,000.
