A unique, exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced analyst/developer to operate at a senior level within the Library and Research Systems team of IS Business Systems at the University. You will want to bring your expertise and experience to bear in delivering the University’s Library, enquiry, and IT Service Management (ITSM) systems. As an enthusiastic, innovative, and experienced analyst/developer with a mix of high-level business analysis and technical skills, you will play a lead role in delivering these systems for the University.
We are seeking someone with the following experience:
- Specifying and implementing complex IT systems.
- Business analysis, including requirements gathering, translation, specification, and stakeholder-driven prioritisation.
- Process mapping, development and improvement using Structured methodologies and toolsets.
- Managing systems support and configuration.
- Developing solutions in SQL
- Delivering system-to-system integrations
- Organising and Leading customer focussed meeting for managing change.
Desirable to have but not essential:
- JavaScript (Angular, React)
- HTML5, CSS3,
- MS toolsets for Teams, Power Automate, Power BI and SharePoint
- Project management (Agile/ Prince 2)
- Managing the support and relationships with system suppliers
- Knowledge of ITIL processes for IT Incident and Change management.

As part of the newly launched 3-year Cyber Improvement Programme, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cybersecurity Team as a Cybersecurity Analyst at the University of 麻豆女优. This is a three-year fixed-term position that offers the chance to contribute directly to a major transformation in the University’s cyber resilience. As an enthusiastic and forward-thinking individual, you will play a key role in strengthening the University’s cybersecurity capabilities and supporting the successful delivery of this strategic programme.
The Cybersecurity Analyst will work closely with the University’s Security Operations Centre (SOC) and internal IT teams to monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents. You will follow established processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that incidents are managed effectively and in accordance with university policy. The role also involves contributing to cyber risk assessments, asset management activities, and developing wider improvement projects that enhance the University’s information security posture.
This position is well-suited to individuals who are detail-oriented, process-driven, motivated by continual learning and good communicators. You will bring experience of working within large or complex organisations and demonstrate an ability to apply cybersecurity principles within a structured and collaborative environment.
Essential experience includes:
- Experience analysing and responding to IT security alerts or incidents.
- Experience working within a structured process or following defined SOPs in a large or complex organisation.
- Practical experience collaborating with a Security Operations Centre (SOC), service desk, or similar function.
- Understanding of common cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and the measures used to mitigate them.
- Knowledge of endpoint protection, identity management, and basic network security concepts.
Desirable experience includes:
- Exposure to vulnerability management, SIEM/SOC technologies, Microsoft security technologies (e.g. Defender) or incident reporting systems.
- Familiarity with Cyber Essentials, or other recognised security frameworks.
- Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, etc, will be looked on favourably.

This role is suited to an experienced cybersecurity professional with a background in risk, governance, and assurance. You will be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, capable of providing constructive challenge, and able to translate complex technical risks into clear business impact.
You will have a sound understanding of enterprise technologies and IT infrastructure, enabling you to assess how controls operate in practice across areas such as servers, endpoints, identity, and cloud services, including Microsoft 365, Defender, and Entra ID. This technical grounding will allow you to provide informed challenge, credible advice, and pragmatic recommendations to IT teams across the University.
We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. You will be comfortable operating in a federated environment, working with diverse stakeholders to embed a culture of shared responsibility for cyber risk, while maintaining the independence and objectivity that effective assurance demands.
Initial interviews are provisionally scheduled to take place on 18 June 2026, with potential second-stage interviews scheduled to take place the week commencing 22 June 2026.
